I was able to set it to max setting without washing out the whites. Unfortunately I don't always know what model a customer has, so I can't help him out much I understand this is a thorny issue, but would appreciate any insight you can provide.

The black levels did look light when I picked up the used panel, it had over hours but it wasn't until I connected the pmcv2 and did the reset that it hit me how much the mll had actually raised.
Does everyone who wants one, have one, at this point? Is the certification guaranty good over the life of the product, only out of the box, or for a specific number of hours and if so, how many hours?
Just had my first reset since the install. It is 3D capable and like the VT25 models includes one pair of 3D eyewear. For an old TV especially for the price it cost me I'm pleased with the performance. Thread starter Foureyes8 Start date Feb 1, Tags panasonic.

There didn't seem to be a big change in my brightness settings, but there seemed to be a big change in contrast. I've got a X1 that could use it. It appears that the new models will have different cell structure, phosphors, and different gas mixtures at least certain of the the G and V series.

A lot of people were saying plasmas were not affected, but I have the opposite experience. Last edited by ddcook10; at What's new New posts New profile posts Latest activity. I know this was an issue with some Pioneer owners. Panasonic adds a new black layer too.
Panasonic Please get your act together I love your overall reliability. Since these rising blacks were by design, I imagine there has to be some sort of impact on the set by reverting to the original levels. According to Panasonic to panaspnic the firmware update made no changes in the supported media formats.
